OBTAINING YOUR TEST SCORES

CANCELING OR VOIDING OF TEST SCORES

Canceling Your Test Scores

If, after the test session, you feel that you did not perform to the best of your ability, you may cancel your score on one or more sections of the test by completing a Score Cancellation Form. Score Cancellation Forms will be available from your proctor and must be submitted before you leave the test center. Score cancellation requests submitted after you leave the test center will not be honored.

If you cancel your score on one or more sections of the test, your performance on the sections of the test that you cancel will not be scored and the scores, partial or otherwise, will not be reported to you or any other party. The institutions selected to receive score reports and the state will have a record that you were present for the test. All records of your responses to test questions will be destroyed. You will not receive a refund of any portion of the testing fee, and there will be no credit toward future testing fees. If you cancel your scores in any sections, your score report may be delayed.

Voiding of Test Scores by NES

NES takes reasonable security precautions in developing and administering the THEA Test and in processing THEA Test scores. NES reserves the right to void any test score if in its sole opinion there is adequate reason to question its validity or legitimacy due to misconduct (including, but not limited to, a violation of the rules set forth in this bulletin, including the Rules of Test Participation, and the rules communicated to you, orally and/or in writing, at the test administration) or to circumstances within or beyond the examinee’s control.

Other actions, as described in Rule 1 of the Rules of Test Participation, may be taken as deemed appropriate by NES.
